A reputable magazine (New York) with a reputable photographer (Bert Stern) recreates his classic photo shoot of an iconic Hollywood figure (Marilyn Monroe) using a former childhood star who fakes her own alcoholism to get attention (guess who) from low life media outlets who pretend to be newsworthy (TMZ, Star, US, CNN, etc. etc.) Ok, we made our point. As an iconic and talented actress, Lindsay Lohan is not. However, she can take a pretty picture and it’s not such an outlandish idea that she could pull off such a photo shoot purely for aesthetic reasons. The fact that her first true topless (and sheerly nude) photos have been delivered to the masses in a classy way rather than by some crude paparazzi shots or through a stolen sex tape is (b-class) news in itself.
After seven consecutive years of being prominently featured inside its pages, it is about time Marisa Miller graced the famed SI cover and 2008 was finally her year. Mind you, since we’re the types to bitch no mater what we get, we must make our little quibble about their choice of photo for the cover.
